Inhibition of LSD by feeding of Tranylcypromine dissolved in DMSO in the parental generation affects H3K4 di-and trimethylation. Immunoblotting of embryonal proteins revealed an approximate sixfold increase of the relative amount of H3K4me2/3 in the F1 generation to that of control embryos (Student’s T test, p**), whereas DMSO feeding on its own did not significantly affect H3K4me2/3 level. In F2 embryos, the relative amount of H3K4me2/3 is slightly but non-significantly reduced to that of control F2 embryos but is significantly reduced compared to that of F1 embryos fed with Tranylcypromine dissolved in DMSO (p**).
