Map of the Western Cape region, South Africa with the eight sites from which Argentine ants were collected for this study, including sites from previous studies ("green circle") Tsutsui et al., 2001 (Cape point, Betty's Bay and Caledon); ("red circle") Vogel et al., 2010 (Stellenbosch) and Van Wilgenburg et al., 2010 (Stellenbosch). Ants were collected from Porterville in the North right down to Elim in the South.
